Chocolate Chip Cookies

Let’s try something easy, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Oh yes it is true, to a point especially with my hubby, he might not look it (he hasn’t gained more than 5 lbs in the 14 years we have been together) but he likes to eat. One of his favorite things is cookies chocolate chip to be exact. I don’t have any secret ingredients or magic spells the Nestle Tollhouse cookie recipe is my go to, maybe my trick is my butter is so room temperature it is almost melting.

State Fair Subs

This is not an original recipe I actually got it from a book called 40 meals for under $10, it was a go to book when the girls were babies, buying lots of diapers, formula and well, baby stuff. Now my family just loves this recipe.

Ingredients
1 loaf French bread
2 eggs
¼ cup milk
1 tsp pepper
1 lb ground sausage (I use Italian elk sausage)
1 cup shredded cheese

Directions
1. Cut French bread in half-length wise and gently pull out the inside leaving just the shell. Tear up the guts into small pieces about an inch and put them in a bowl.
2. Mix in a separate bowl the eggs, milk and pepper and pour over the bread pieces mixing thoroughly.
3. Brown sausage, drain fat, and add to bread mixture.
4. Spoon the sausage mixture into the shells and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
5. Then wrap each half in tin foil and put in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes
6. Enjoy

Blog Plan

Back to blogging, I have been trying to figure out a way to get in more of a groove with my blogging but I keep struggling, sometimes it is because I go with the saying that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Sometimes it is out of pure laziness, sometimes it is because I am so busy living my life and spending time with my family I don't have time to blog about it.  Not that life isn't worth blogging about in fact quite the opposite I have lots of moments that I am like "Oh, I should write about this."  However not all my great ideas or wonderful stories make it to print.  So to help my good intentions and maybe keep some sanity and save some of these wonderful memories for my girls my blog needs a routine a series or two, maybe! I am not promising anything more than to try so here we go...
