A big memory for hubby and I this year was our trip to Vegas, we have both been before when we were way younger, but not as adults. Thanks to some great friends who invited us to join them and watch Nitro Circus, we headed to Vegas the end of January. Our girls headed to my parents house Thursday night, and after a late phone call with one who was in tears because she missed us already, we headed out to the airport at 4am, YIKES!! One airplane to Denver CO, then another to San Francisco CA and then onto Vegas baby. As a fun side note my hubby is a lifetime Seahawks fan can you imagine the fun he was having in the Denver and San Francisco airports, oh yes he just couldn't resist. Thankfully with little fanfare we made it Vegas and to our hotel, it was a long morning but we only had so much time so we met up with our friends and headed out to see what kind of trouble we could get into. Walking the Vegas strip is an adventure all its own, I definitely saw things I wish I hadn't some things that were so cool I was in awe, and some things that just plain made me wonder. But we had so much fun, we stayed at the MGM Grand and walked down to the Bellagio to watch the water show, went in and out of a ton of hotels, found some little dive places to eat and drink. It was amazing, and yes we even gambled a little (don't tell hubby but the man is a good poker player he just gets the game when to fold em and when to hold em).
Saturday morning came early, but up we got and went and had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe and then headed down to the lobby so we could get autographs from the Nitro Circus crew, it was a long two hours we stood in line but well worth it to see the looks on my girls' faces when we gave them their posters with all those autographs, plus hubby is like a big kid and was in complete awe along with the rest of us, very cool. Nitro Circus was the whole reason we went to Vegas and if you like seeing bmx bikes, skateboards, and motorcycles do amazing tricks and flips you have got to go to one of their shows they deliver in every aspect. So amazing, in fact hubby was hoarse Sunday because he was hollering and cheering so much. Now I said Saturday morning came early well Sunday morning was seen without sleep, oh yes we pulled an all nighter, we had to be at the airport by 4:30am anyway so we figured there was no point in going to bed. One airplane to San Francisco and one airplane to Bozeman and we headed to Chico Hot Springs for a decompression. I love Chico, no TV's, a bar, top notch service, and 5 star food, not to mention the hot springs. Monday morning was a soak, breakfast and a drive home. It was definitely a whirlwind trip but it was a great start to a new year and I did have one of the best traveling partners a girl could ask for!
Cheers to a new year full of fabulous memory making moments!!
