Day 18 - Blog Name Meaning

Blog Name: One Feisty Family

The meaning is not anything inparticular I came up with it one day and it has stuck so far. It is our last name and describes us as a whole. My blog is a glimpse into my life with my husband and our twin girls.
Nothing more Nothing less

Day 17 - Proud Moment

The above picture is one of my proudest moments. Two little girls with their daddy at the end of a sometimes rough series of Enduro racing. The smiles on their faces were worth every minute used stressing, every dollar spent.  It will for sure be a great memory for my girls and maybe even a greater memory for their daddy. He was so proud of them that day and I was so proud of all three of them. Enduro racing is hard but so rewarding mentally.

Day 16 - Top of Bucket List

My Bucket List, well this could be interesting I don't have a bucket list, even more interesting is the fact that I love lists and I don't have a bucket list. So I am going to make an on the fly bucket list here goes nothing
  1. See Mount Rushmore with my girls
  2. See Grand Canyon with my girls
  3. Celebrate my 50th Wedding Anniversary (I know it is a long time away but it is definately on the list)
  4. Watch my girls fall in love and get married
  5. Skydive (this is on the list but to be honest I am pretty certain I will pass out from terror)
Well that is it for now, definately my top 5 at this very moment, whatever else life brings me I will just add to the list afterwards :)

Day 15 - Timeline of my Day

So Today's Timeline...

8:30am - Woke Up (we got to sleep in a little as the girls stayed with Papa and Nana)

9am - I already have a load of laundry washing and dishwasher unloaded and reloaded, along with making a cup of tea for me and a cup of coffee for the hubby

10:30am - started on loading the new camper with all the clean dishes and organizing where I am going to put all the stuff we seem to need to camp

11:45am - Papa dropped the girls off and they may be a little grumpy from staying up to late and waking up early, but I am happy to see their faces

12:30pm - We three girls head up town to return some stuff and do a little shopping I found two gift cards in my purse so exciting

3:30pm - We are back and the girls are out riding their dirt bikes

5pm - Alex and Riley stop by to chit chat and hang out

6:30pm - I start making dinner and the girls are still out in the field riding

7:30pm - dinner is now cooking and I am still cleaning the camper and organizing while doing some laundry, and trying to straighten out my house YIKES

8:30pm - Shane is home we have dinner, the girls start getting ready for bed

9pm - Girls in bed, a little late but this whole it staying light out until 9:30 really throws we into a tailspin I lose track of time and well that is what happens no use in fighting it or making a mountain out of a molehill

11pm - Shane and I start watching Hatfield's & McCoys that is DVR'd, probably a bad choice as we end up stopping it at 12:45 so we can go to bed, really good show so far.

Pretty slow paced Memorial Day but it was fun and we accomplished A LOT

Day 14 - If I won the lottery...

Oh the things I would do!!!

I love this saying so much, there are always so many things that we say we would do if we won the lottery or if I had a penny every time I heard that kind of moment.

Shane and I were talking about this the other day because we are playing that Albertson's summer game and one of the prizes is 1 million dollars. Here is what we decided he would get a new dirt bike or maybe two and I would get a huge redwood deck off the back of my house the rest would go into savings for the girls.
After having this conversation we decided we were pretty blessed when this is all our list amounted to if we had a million dollars. Life is Good!!

Day 13 - Earliest Memory

This one is hard, I am not really sure. My husband swears I remember everything but I would tend to disagree with him I think I just get lucky.

After thinking and thinking about this I almost had to report something when I was older :) However we went to a friend's house this weekend to have dinner and hang out and Zach's mom reminded me of preschool. I went to Early Movement Preschool it was a dance slash preschool and it was wonderful. We learned ballet and tap and did performances. The teachers there loved their jobs and it really showed. I saw one of the teachers after I graduated high school she didn't remember me but I remembered her. Thank you to Zach's mom for reminding me of my earliest memory :)

Day 12 - Inside my Fridge

Well let's see in my fridge there is

ketchup, mustard, home-made ranch dressing, spicy ranch, blueberry syrup, boysenberry syrup, butter, cream cheese, shredded parmesan, shredded cheddar, sliced cheddar, sliced pepper jack, mayo, a couple of cheladas, some bud light, a few diet pepsi's for my father in law, milk, water, juice, eggs, wet cat food, lettuce, artichokes, celery, onions, tomatos, spinach, raspberry bbq sauce, jerky seasoning, half and half, whipped cream liquid, leftovers, salsa, and probably a few other things but that is the norm.
Nothing strange like cow's tongue or anything. Another boring post, I am interested though in who read this, who really wanted to know what was in my fridge anyway.

Day 10 - Best Physical Feature

Best Physical Feature? Well this is hard, I am not a person who really admires my own body and finding a best physical feature if proving a little harder than it may sound. After giving this much thought I have decided that my best physical feature is my smile. My crooked one of a kind just me smile.

I love to smile and yes my smile really is crooked but I love that about it, it used to drive me crazy in middle and high school. I wanted the perfect symmetrical smile but I realized I love my smile it is me all mine and it is genuine not made up in some doctors office. It is perfect and definitely my best feature.

Day 9 - My Worst Habits

My Worst Habits

Well let me think...

  1. Interrupting People: I love listening to my friends, coworkers, hubby, and family talk in fact I love learning about people but I also have a bad habit. While people are talking I tend to think of something I need to tell them a story I need to share or provide an example from my own life, and I will interrupt them to do this. Terrible habit is more like it because I swear I was listening to them and then my brain switched gears and off I go. Definately working on this but very frusterating sometimes not only for me but for others too.
  2. Rubbing my lips, ok I realize this sounds funny but some people chew on their fingernails, I rub my lips like with my finger when they are dry and not smooth feeling I want to make them smooth and I will take my finger and rub the dry skin off. Gross and really terrible for my lips as usually I make them bleed.
  3. Swearing, yep I said it I swear and it is a terrible habit I am working on vigerously to fix. In fact you will hear me correct myself a lot because it bothers me that bad. Part of my swearing is road rage I would stake claim to the fact that people get in their cars and drive with the intention of driving me bonkers. There are usually no hand signals with this and I am sure to passerby's I look like I am on the phone or talking to myself.
So there you go 3 bad habits that I am in the process of making better :)

Day 7 - My Pet Hates

My Pet Hates

I have two dogs, one cat and two goldfish so I definatey don't hate pets. However there may be a few things I don't like some days. For instance...
  1. Potty training a new puppy
  2. A needy cat, most of the time my cat is pretty independent but randomly he decides he needs attention and he needs it now and it sits and meows for what seems like forever until someone pets him
  3. Dogs that bark and don't listen when told to stop
  4. Cleaning fish tanks, can you say EW
  5. Dog drool, our lab/mastiff pup, well she is really96 lbs of largeness but she thinks she is a lap dog, so when she is starving or thinking she is being deprived of food she drools and I mean dripping drops of saliva all over the place, gross :) Even though she is the cutest thing ever.
  6. One blonde dog, our golden/lab is a daddy's girl so to speak she is 100% sure that my hubby is her only owner 98% of the time. I can call her and call her and she will seemingly just ignore me but he whistles once and she is at his side in seconds, drives me nuts.
Well I think that is it definately not a hate list but a few pet peeves if you will. Even though they drive me bonkers sometimes they have definately added to our family.

Day 6 - My 5 Senses

As my phone is acting up and I can't log into my blog I hope you won't mind the missing link up to the challenge thank goodness my email is still working!
My 5 senses today!
See - I see a house that needs cleaned up ugh after being on the run today my house got a little neglected.
Taste - I taste the fudge bar I just had it was a delicious treat from my hubby. But so worth it. Yum
Feel - I feel the remnants of the headache I have had all day from not drinking enough water man I can't wait to go to bed and start tomorrow over with a cup of tea and lots of water.
Hear - I hear two girls fighting in the shower after a long day spent walking the 5k, walking downtown and watching the Armed Forces Day Parade, a swimming playdate with a friend and of course a couple hours of dirt bike riding. I also hear a husband that works really hard banging away on our garage. I can hear the sounds of home.
Smell - I can smell fresh country air it is a little cold but it still smells so good. I can also smell green apple gum in our 4th care package even sealed that box smells wow that gum is powerful hopefully the dogs that check them don't rip into out of pure hunger. :)
I hope you all took a minute and checked on your 5 senses it is a nice break in the day.
Goodnight!

Day 4 - What Am I Afraid Of?

What am I afraid of? The first thing that popped in my mind was nothing of course I am woman hear me roar. Well that would be a lie, I am afraid of multiple things spiders, dying, my marriage failing.

Ok so spiders is a pretty normal one, nothing unusual here they crawl, bite and in general are just gross YUCKY!

Dying is a normal response too, this definately came around when I had kids. I am afraid of not getting to see them grow up, them not being able to call me to answer random questions or tell me random things. Not being there to ease the pain of a broken heart or see their smile on their wedding day. Man this one thing I am more terrified of.

My marriage failing this might be an odd one but I think about it because it seems in our society people don't trudge forward anymore they run for the door. Instead of hard work they figure easier to end it. I want to be old with my husband, let me clarify I don't want to make him old or get old because of him, I want to grow old with him. I want all the happy, sad and angry times with him. I want all the highs and lows. I want to be with him for the rest of my life and although all the moments may not be happy they will all be well worth it and will all be learning experiences to grow our marriage our relationship and our love.

There you have it my top three fears.

31 Day Blog Challenge - Day 1

So I haven't been blogging as much lately, but summer is coming so that will all change soon. However until the summer actually gets started I thought joining in this fun blog challenge would let you all get to know me a little better and keep my blogging skills up to snuff.

Day 1 - Introduction and Recent Picture

Well the recent picture part will be interesting as I just took this today while sitting at my desk, yes I try to keep you amused.

Ok so terrible picture but I shared anyway :)

An introduction to me: I am a 31 year old, working mom and wife. I have twin girls that are 9 years old and my world and a husband that owns his own construction business. Hubby and I have been together for 12 years this November and married for 3 years this September. Yes we lived together before we got married and yes we had kids before we got married (GASP). I won't judge you if you don't judge me.  We love to camp, ski, race motorcycles and in general do anything outdoors. We live in Montana, Big Sky Country it is beautiful here and I am so glad my girls get to grow up enjoying the outdoors and all our state has to offer. If you want to know more go ahead as long as it isn't too personal.

Team Infant-Tree

So last Saturday was the Helena March For Babies walk.

This is a walk and organization I learned about after my girls were born 6 weeks early. The last year brought us more knowledge of the March of Dimes and closer to their mission to end premature birth as we lost a member of our family at 21 weeks. This year two families grew closer because of an angel we have in Heaven. Graysen Christopher Clark was the blessing we only got to have on Earth for 21 weeks but today we joined forces and we walked in his memory, as team Infant-Tree. Graysen's daddy and his fellow Marines came up with our name and we proudly wore camo with our March of Dimes purple to honor our angel and his military family.

Today we earned the award for the top Family Team earning the most money for family teams and Graysen's Aunt Chey earned the award for the most individual donations.

We as a family are a force to be reckoned with, as together so many things are possible. If you don't already support the March of Dimes please consider donating today, every dollar counts.

Thanks from Graysen's Family.
