Advent Days 13, 14, & 15

And it happens again we have been doing our calendars I just have been a bad blogger and haven't been updating. I have to get caught up so tomorrow I will post the other two Christmas posts I promised earlier. One is Oh Christmas Tree and the other is The 12 Days of Christmas Hubby Style! But put the curiosity on hold today I update you the calendars.
Day 13:
Lauryn got a table, plate and some frosted cookies :)
Kaleigh got a robot with a shooting eye.

Day 14:
Kaleigh got two guns and a light saber and a weapon holder.
Lauryn got a dog bed and a bone for her puppy.

Day 15:
Lauryn got another sled for her snowmobile.
Kaleigh got a storm trooper.

The girls love these and it is funny to watch as last night they were almost a sleep on the couch and then they remembered that they hadn't done their calendars. 10PM and up out of bed they went like it was Christmas morning.

Love my girls!

Advent Day 11 & 12

Ok so the big hype today 12/12/12! So happy 12/12/12 there I jumped on the wagon! Aren't you proud of me? Ok enough of that I am thinking about how old I am getting! 13 more days and I will be 32 now 30 didn't bother me nor did 31 but 32 seems to be bothering me a little. Maybe it is more that my babies are not babies anymore they are becoming young ladies this may be the last year they fully believe in Santa and that makes me sad that some of the magic will be lost. More about this in a different post but now we have two days of calendar fun!

Day 11: Kaleigh got a dog robot. Ok so that isn't what it is and I remember watching this Star Wars but I can't remember the name. Aunt BJ? And Lauryn got a present with a bow on it and a paw print? What could that mean?

Day 12: Lauryn got a puppy and immediately she dressed her up with a tiara very cute! And Kaleigh got a trooper yep again we don't know the name but she loves the people so it is cool.

I will be doing a follow up post with all the pictures and their names as Aunt BJ has been helping us with this :)
Thanks for reading!

Advent Day 8, 9, and 10!!

What is more fun than combining three days of blogging into one! Not much sorry but there will be delays in these postings from time to time as I do have a full time job at an office another as a mom and yet another as a wife! Juggling them all sometimes get a little hectic and I have to take a breather to stay sane. However I didn't forget my blog followers and hope you are all still out there reading and enjoying the adventure with my family.

Day 8: assembly of a table and chair set for Lauryn and Kaleigh a flying ship!

Day 9: produced a trooper for Kaleigh and cake, milk, cups and a plate for Lauryn.

Day 10: a fantastic trailer for the snowmobile for Lauryn and a satellite dish (pretty sure this is not correct but the girls decided and I went with it) for Kaleigh!

Keep checking my blog this I have a couple of fun things coming!

Great Perspective

A friend posted this on Facebook and I had to share. I love this!

I am grateful for my mortgage because it means I have a warm home.
I am grateful for doctor bills because it means we have access to healthcare.
I am grateful for sadness because it means I have had joy.
I am grateful for hard work because it means I have had opportunities.
I am grateful for dirty dishes because it means we have food to eat.
I am grateful for student loans because it means I have had the chance to further my education.
I am grateful for laundry because it means we are clothed.
I am grateful for whining, crying, and fits because it means I am blessed to have my kids.
I am so grateful for a different perspective today.

Advent Day 7

Day 7 brought some assembly and lots of fun.

Interesting contents for Lauryn. A little bag of hair accessories, mirrors, brushes, tiaras, and blow dryers. She is now sure she is going to get a table or something to keep these things in. Her dolls look beautiful and the girls were having fun messing with them putting bows and tiaras in their hair.

Kaleigh got a gun. She was pretty stoked as she was sure her guys needed weapons of some kind. You see there is a picture of a big red faced guy on the front of the box and she is positive he is BAD! She doesn't like him so I think it made her feel better that her good guys now have a for sure weapon to get the bad guy.

These calendars are so much fun!

Advent Day6

Day 6 came and went and I didn't post! That doesn't mean we forgot calendars it just means we are a normal family that got busy! Grocery shopping, helping my sister with a Christmas project and enjoying hanging out.
The girls did open their calendars though and this is what they assembled.

Lauryn got another girl for her village this was has a red sweater on with a Christmas tree, Lauryn got upset last night and asked why the girl she put together was missing her sweater and I simply turned her around and shared with Lauryn that you have to put her head on right :) It was really funny we had a good laugh about it.

Kaleigh got a creature, she calls him robot guy. We will wait for Aunt BJ, or Ellen and Brandee to share with us what his real name is, as Kaleigh has decided it is a boy. Very cute!

Advent Day 5

The craziness of the holiday season seems to be slowing a little. The stress of money and family and this and that is slowing too which is not something I thought I would be saying but am so thankful for. Santa came to my work tonight it was very fun! Yes my employer does the Santa thing buying gifts for the kids and cookies and everything it is so nice and always a treat for the adults as much as the kids. The girls each got a kit to paint two Breyer horses they love arts and crafts so it was a great gift. My niece and nephew got to come too and got an airplane model kit for a 3 year old perfect as he is 4 and all boy and my niece got a baby doll. She seemed to think it was a great gift and she did so good with so many people that she doesn't know. It was a fun time and set the mood for a pretty relaxed evening. It was off to bed more regular time and the advent calendars produced for Lauryn a snowman and for Kaleigh a creature we think. I am telling you this Star Wars thing is new to us. So Aunt BJ, Ellen, or Brandee we need the name of our newest addition! Love my girls!!

Advent Day 4

OK so last night came and went and I didn't get a chance to post about Day 4, sorry for the delay but here it is.
We needed to do some laundry and of course there was a kitten to play with, but most importantly there were two girls who needed to go to bed because man oh man can you say GROUCHY!!
Anyway calendars are never forgotten so off to open calendars and go to bed we went.
Kaleigh got a flying plane thing she is sure it goes in the water too, which I have decided with her imagination that sounds good to me! And Lauryn got skis and ski poles for her girl. I have to say Kaleigh might be starting to think Lauryn's calendar is pretty cool she was really into those skis and of course the snowmobile, having a girly calendar isn't all bad, although she still isn't think all that pink is for her. Oh well it is for Lauryn she loves all that pink! And Kaleigh still loves the little man with the long hair she says, we found out from Aunt BJ his name is Jar-Jar Binks she just calls him JJ. These are definitely cool calendars :)

Ornament Swapping!

So I signed up for an Ornament Swap through Jessica over at Dreaming of Dimples. It was my first ornament swap and as I love Christmas and all the decorations that go with it, it sounded like so much fun.

I got S.K from the blog Created by S.K., I did a little blog stalking and communicated with her via email to figure out what a fun ornament would be for her. Then off shopping I went to see what I got her you can read here Holiday Ornament Swap.

Kimberly over at I'm Probably Crazy got my name and boy did she do a great job. Our communications mentioned that my tree has a theme of family memories. It is a collection of ornaments from the last 12 years and some from my grandma. I love them all and almost all of them have a meaning or memory behind them. Well I got her box and opened it up and found this beautiful mistletoe and jewel ornament. The camera was not cooperating and did not catch the true beauty of this sparkling ornament with glitter on the top and the jewel on the bottom it is truly so pretty.

We cut down a real tree every year and this year the branches just won't hold this ornament but have no fear I found the perfect place for it and in fact I am pretty sure it will hang here every year.  There is a hook in the ceiling in the living room, I have used it for a multitude of things including stretch bands for workouts but it is perfectly in the middle of the entryway and makes for a good kissing spot. Remember her ornament had mistletoe on it! Oh yes I love that my hubby was totally included in my ornament swap without him even knowing.
Thanks Kimberly for the fabulous ornament I love it!!

Advent Day 3

Deck the halls with boughs of holly and rockin round the Christmas tree! Oh yes our tree went up tonight it is absolutely beautiful too we have collectively decided it is the most beautiful tree we have had. A picture will be in a seperate post. The girls opened day 3 today and man oh man they are going to drive me crazy. Shane and I agreed they open their calendars at bedtime, but they start asking to open them as soon as we get home at night it is hilarious! Oh well such a good bedtime activity Shane and I help if they need assembly assistance and it is such great family time along with a Winter book. The girls have quite the collection of Christmas/Winter books and they are stored with our Christmas decorations so they only get them for the month of December which means a new book every night although there are definately a few favorites. Onto assembly tonight Lauryn got a lamppost with holly on it and Kaleigh got a launcher. Both are very cool and the girls were super stoked. These are definately way better than chocolate calendars. Although I will admit the plastic just doesn't taste the same :)

Advent Day 2

Day two and we woke up a little later than planned oh well it was nice to get to sleep in a little. After dropping off Lauryn's friend we hit the dirt road to go hunting. The guaranteed kind of hunting Christmas tree hunting. And we were successful within 1/2 hour thanks to hubby and Kaleigh. After it was cut and tagged we headed to Papa and Nana's house to see Nana for the first time in a couple of months. After a short visit we headed home in a torrential rainstorm and stored the tree in the garage so it could dry out. Then some out of town friends came over for dinner and talk. It was wonderful to see them and their kiddos are growing like weeds :) hopefully we can make a trip down to see them soon I am thinking this could be an epic summer vacation with a stop in Colorado and then Ohio :) And my girls shared again tonight with a little man who seemed to think their advent calendars were pretty cool. So to advent day 2 here we go. Kaleigh got a little guy we aren't sure what his name is so if you know his name please share we are curious. And Lauryn got a snowmobile for her girl to ride pretty sweet.

Advent Day 1

So last year hubby's aunt and her fabulous fam got the girls a Lego Advent Calendar. This was a huge surprise and very special. I didn't even know they made lego advent calendars and it was definately so much fun. The girls have been doing advent calendars since they were very little, as it was something I used to do when I was little and a tradition that I wanted to carry on. Well this year Great Aunt BJ, Great Uncle Al and Great Cousins Ellen and Brandee remembered the girls again and got them each an advent calendar. As they don't live in the same city as us I thought it would be fun to show them day by day what the girls are assembling via my blog.
Kaleigh's calendar is Star Wars and Lauryn's calendar is Friends. The girls were so excited when I got them out last night and put them on their dresser, they thought that they weren't getting calendars this year and were really bummed. They have told everyone that Aunt BJ and Uncle Al got them calendars all the way from Great Falls. The magic of the holiday season really comes alive through the eyes of children. So BJ, Al, Ellen, and Brandee we say thank you so much for thinking of our girls!
Day 1
Today was even more fun watching them open their calendars as they shared the experience with a friend. Lauryn is having a friend spend the night and the girls let her help with assembly it was so fun to watch. So without further words here is what the girls assembled. A friend and what we believe is a fighter flyer.
The girls love them and can't wait for tomorrow night.

Thankful November - Wrap Up

On a lighter note:
So I missed some days but I promise it didn't make me any less thankful, in fact my break made me more thankful.

I am thankful for my family more than ever, my mom, dad, and sister are definitely the greatest listeners anybody could ask for.

I am thankful for my hubby and his believe in me.

I am thankful God gave me the job of being mom (sometimes Mama Bear) to two girls that mean the world to me.

On a heavier note:
I have always tried to keep drama off my blog (so I promise this will be my one rant for the year) but I swear it is funny to be on the receiving end of the badmouthing sometimes. I will let it roll off my shoulders, and remember that the person who is now talking bad about me was talking bad about someone else just a few short months ago. Oh well keep talking because apparently I am a popular topic :)

On a joyous note:
Let's get this Christmas season started because I can't wait to be surrounded by my family and be spending time with the people who matter most to me!

Christmas Blessings to you all, and keep checking my blog because I have a fun little Christmas countdown coming that two girls are helping me with :)

Hubby Thankfulness:
Today a text that read: "Thanks for having lunch with me today" You see hubby is out of town working today but I packed us both the same lunch so we are having a long distance lunch date :) Love him!!

Thankful November - Day 19

General Thankfulness:
Today I am thankful for life. I am happy to be healthy and happy to have a marriage that is strong and a family that is stronger. I am a proud mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend. I am just happy and thankful for all that God has given me.

Hubby Thankfulness:
I am thankful that my hubby is an excellent butcher. He puts so much time and hard work into cutting up our meat after we have been hunting. I appreciate all he does to provide for our family.
Love Him!!

Thankful November - 17th & 18th

General Thankfulness:
I am thankful for long days of hunting where I might not see anything but a bunch of tracks and some animals I can't shoot but where I get to spend the day in the woods hanging out with my hubby and father-in-law. And I am also thankful for talk. There are some people in my life that I can just tell them how I am feeling and they get it. Then there are some others that no matter how many times we talk it goes in one ear and out the other. As much as it drives me crazy I am still proud of myself for standing up and not letting others push me around.

Hubby Thankfulness: I love that he tells me he loves me everytime we get off the phone. And I love that we are open when we talk it definately keeps our marriage strong.
Love Him.

Thankful November - Day 16

General Thankfulness:
So I am not writing these ahead of time they are being written day by day which means sometimes a certain person may be the object of my thankfulness. Today I am thankful that i have one of the best brother-in-laws a girls could ask for. Technically I have 4 of them, but my husbands full brother is great. Sometimes his sensibility drives me crazy as I am sure my emotional drive in life drives him nuts sometimes too. But if my father-in-law taught his boys anything in life it is No Drama! Wes just listens, and calmly replies no emotional drive about it and nothing usually that will hurt someone else. He just tells it like it is. Thanks Wes for listening and for always staying so calm, collected and cool.

Hubby Thankfulness:
Text to hubby that read "Thanks for always being the drama free part of my life" This is so true when I get over emotional he always tells me Stop the Soap Opera. I hate it when he says it but usually it spins my head enough to make me realize that I am letting another human being drive my emotions and steer my day in a bad direction. I cannot control the other person but I can control how I react to them and hubby is usually the one calling me a drama queen. I believe this is a female trait as we are very emotional about stuff wearing our hearts on our sleeves. But that is where hubby evens me out I bring the emotions to the table he brings the sensibility to the table :)
Love him!!

Thankful November - Day 15

General & Hubby Thankfulness:

Oh yes people I did it I combined the two. Now before you go thinking I am running out of ideas to be thankful for my hubby that has nothing to do with it I am just extra grateful today. "Thanks for the last 12 years" that is the text my hubby received this morning. You see today we celebrate 12 years of dating! Oh yes I still try to date my husband it is part of the adventure, the fun, the lure, the excitment it keeps things interesting. To be honest I am still learning and getting to know my hubby people grow and change, for example and it is something small but hubby used to hate mustard guess what he eats now!
So today I am thankful for time the last 12 years to be specific because I have been beyond blessed and I am hubby thankful because he has stuck it out with me, highs lows and all the uturns in between.
Love you Babe!!

Bunny ears and all I still love him

Thankful November - Day 13 & 14

General Thankfulness
Oh lets see I am thankful for so many things all the time. To cover two days I would say a room over my head and heat to keep us warm. Yes my house might not be grand but it is plenty big enough for the four of us. I am not a huge fan of cleaning so the house not being huge is a blessing to me. And heat to stay warm as it is getting to be winter here in Montana and that means we are having cooler temps along with frost, snow and ice. I am happy to get to spend an evening indoors cuddled up with my hubby and kids.

Hubby Thankfulness
Oh this is easy I am thankful for my hubby's amazing hunting abilities and that he is so patient when he takes me out with him. I always kid him that he is my personal hunting guide, truth be told I am honored I get to go with him. And I am thankful that even after a long day of work outside in the cold when I know all he wants to do is sit down and watch some tv he still helps me fold and put away the mountain of laundry. Yes I am a laundry hoarder of sorts I hate folding, hanging and putting it away YUCK. So I let it pile up in the laundry room until when dumped out it almost covers our queen bed. Yep that is my dirty little secret but he still helps me fold, hang, and put it away and I don't even have to ask. Definately big time LOVE HIM!!

Thankful November - Day 11 & 12

General Thankfulness:
I am thankful for my girls! They were an unplanned surprise and by far the greatest surprise ever. Their love of life need for adventure and kid honesty keep me young. Love them so much!!

Hubby Thankfulness:
Love him for physically exhausting me yesterday. Oh yes he took me on a hike hunting for 3 1/2 hours we didn't get anything but I was exhausted when we got home so much that he thought he had killed me :) I haven't been that tired since the girls were infants but I was so much fun! Love him!

Thankful November - Day 10

Pretty sure I skipped yesterday although I didn't post I was thankful. Just didn't share. :)

Today though I have to share because well that is just me.

General Thankfulness:
I am thankful for creativity. My girls were getting ready to go play out in all this white stuff we have and almost every pair of their gloves were wet. Mainly because they take them off and throw them back in the tub with all the dry stuff. Yuck! Well I found a piece of scrap ribbon and some clothes pins and presto. They can hang up their gloves so that they dry off. Forgive the picture being sideways my phone didn't want to rotate it.

Hubby Thankfulness:
This one was a hard one today because I really was thinking about kicking him right in the butt! He told some friends that they could park and store some stuff at our house as they are moving to a new house. I was a little upset at him for not remembering to tell me. Then I got a little more upset because stuff got stored in my parking spot in the garage. However I know he didn't do it on purpose and really I got to chitchat with some friends as they surprised me. So it wasn't all bad and I know hubby will move stuff in the garage so that I have a parking spot. Love his forgetfulness sometimes it is a character of his that usually makes me smile more than makes me mad.
Love him!

Thankful November - Day 7 & 8

Ok so I kind of skipped yesterday, not that there wasn't something to be thankful for I just got busy. But here is some thankfulness in fact two days worth :)

General Thankfulness:
I am thankful for my parents! Without them who knows where I would be in life, they raised me to be a responsible adult and I would say for the most part got lucky :) Oh yeah I totally just called them lucky for getting me as a daughter. No seriously though I can swing by their house and ask my dad something and the next thing I know he is at my door or in my yard working on it. And my mom well she is a saint as she has been watching my girls either full time or part time since they were born. Even after 10 years she still enjoys time with them. I love her for doing that she didn't have to but she does and I love it. Thanks mom and dad!!!

Hubby Thankfulness:
I sent him a text that simply said. "Thanks for picking me to be your wife!" I think that sums it right up of all the girls he chose me to spend his life with and that is a huge blessing because through thick or thin I love that man more and more every day!!

Thankful November - Day 6

General Thankfulness-
I am thankful for all of you followers of my blog. It means a lot that you would take time out of your day to check in with me to see how I am doing, and what my family is up to. So thank you to you for well being you!

Hubby Thankfulness-
I sent hubby a text today thanking him for being a great dad to our girls. Truth be told our girls hit the jackpot getting him as a dad, whether he believes it or not. Love him!!

Thankful November - Day 5

General Thankfulness:
I am thankful for food coop programs. I participate in Bountiful Baskets and it is such a wonderful program. My family and I get to try veggies and fruits that I would not otherwise buy at the grocery store because I do not like stepping out of my comfort zone especially when it comes to spending money. And most of the time we enjoy it. This weekend hubby and I tried Acorn Squash, I sliced it and baked it with Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper, it was actually pretty good. Neither hubby nor I could eat very much because even with the salt, pepper and parm cheese it was sweet but we tried it and both agreed we would eat it again. Delicious fruits and vegetables I love them.

Hubby Thankfulness:
I am thankful my hubby is such a sound sleeper, otherwise I would be able to get up in the morning and workout for fear of waking him up. Sometimes it wakes him up when he notices I am not in bed next to him but then he hears the TV and goes right back to sleep. I am thankful that he does this as we do not have a very big house (note: I do not want a bigger house I hate cleaning) so if he was a light sleeper it would ruin my early morning workout opportunity and I would have to fit it in another time or leave and go to the gym. Thank you hubby for sleeping like a rock!

Thankful November - Day 4

Not sure what happened to this posting but it did not post like it was supposed to so here it goes again

General Thankfulness:
Montana, I am thankful to live in this great state, where the pace can sometimes be a little slower and life in general can be a lot less stressful. It is all what you make of it! I love the weather, most of the time, summer's here are gorgeous and winter's well they can take your breathe away literally sometimes they are so cold. Seriously though looking up at the mountains and trees covered in snow you know where they get pictures for postcards. WOW!! I love living in this state.

Hubby Thankfulness:
That he knows what I need most of the time without me even saying a word. Saturday night our girls spent the night at sleepovers and so we were kidless. We could have gone out and partied, but we didn't. Hubby got home after dark from hunting with his dad and we had a late dinner and watched some TV and snuggled in bed and slept in until 10am! Oh yes I needed that time with him just the two of us, no feeling to fit in some party or time out on the town just us two. WONDERFUL!

Thankful November - Day 3

General Thanks:
I am thankful today for Facebook. Never thought I would say that, but it is true today. I haven't been getting on Facebook very often anymore I have been blogging with the realization that if anyone wants to know what I am up to they will read my blog, message me or call. Today though I got on to check out what everyone has been thankful for and I saw the Humane Society Update that their are baby kittens who will be ready for their forever home on Tuesday. Tuesday is the 6th and it marks one month of my kitty being gone. Stubs is not replaceable he was the coolest cat and the first animal my hubby and I got together along with my girls first pet, I still cry because I miss him. On that note though I want another cat a male definately a kitten and any color other than black and white. I have placed a call into the humane society and am hoping one of those kittens fits our family. Today I am thankful I saw the post because I am sure it is a sign that our family is ready for a new furry member. Fingers crossed.

Hubby Thankfulness:
A text sent to him for his patience today while we were hunting we only got a hun but I had so much fun. He was wonderful and it was fantastic to spend a little time hanging out my man.

What are you thankful for? Leave a comment or go to day 1 and link up.

Thankful November - Day 2

Day 2 here I come...

General Thankfulness:
Today I am thankful for employers who start fitness challenges! Oh yes you read that right, I have been in a funk the last week and half, I have thought about working out I just haven't actually done it. So yesterday my boss sends out an email inviting us to join him as an office and obtaining 160 hours of fitness for the month of November. Well there are enough of us that it equals approximately 4 hours a week, which is really easy if you just do it. I am starting tomorrow I believe as I am going hunting with hubby and he will walk my butt off I am sure. I can go to the gym and workout for an hour and sweat my butt off, but going hiking with hubby for a couple of hours will nearly kill me off and make me feel like I have never seen the inside of a gym. So thank you to my boss for knowing that this time of year it is so hard to get motivated to hit the gym. Oh our reward is a round of appetizers and a drink at a local place that was just remodeled. Very cool!!

Hubby Thankfulness:
Today for Love Gratitude Challenge I put a love bug note in my hubby's lunch box. I found these at Walmart in the clearance aisle and they are in the shape of little bugs and have cute little sayings on them. Today's message said "Thank you for being such a hard worker" Then on the back I wrote a note thanking him for working so hard for our family. I really do love and appreciate that man, even on the days his hard work drives me nuts or his perfectionism makes me batty at the end of the day I know that he does it for our family. LOVE HIM!!

Thankful November - Day 1

So I love posts from Mrs. P over at A Little Pink in a World of Camo, she is amazing and just always says whats on her mind. Well this month she is doing a Thankful November series we can call it she is blogging each day about something she is thankful for. I think this is a such a great idea I am joining her, and starting doing a first for me link up. I really think this a great idea and would love to hear what all of you are thankful for each day.

So today is November 1st and to be honest I am thankful Halloween has come and gone. Yikes that holiday runs me down every year maybe it is because it is not my favorite holiday I don't hate it by any means but I prefer holidays that don't have scary stuff and spiders. YUCK!

This year for Halloween my girls decided they wanted to be Marines, now our cousin in the Corps and I didn't want to disrespect the uniform so I tried hard to make sure they didn't look sloppy or thrown together. Here is what we came up with.

K in Cami's

L in Dress Blues
The story behind this being a little extra stressful is that I ordered costumes online on the 13th of October, however on October 24th I received an email stating that the dress blues uniform was out of stock and wouldn't be shipping. Really you wait for 2 weeks to let me know you don't have it in stock, thanks a lot NOT! So I have to make dress blues, yes at this point my eyeballs are popping out of my head and my stress level is off the charts. Thankfully I found a picture online of a costume a mom had made and I just followed her directions for not being a lover of sewing I think it turned out pretty good. It is a black fleece pullover and wind pants but we got the seal of approval from our cousin who said it looked really good. Thank Heavens someone was definately watching over me!

I also joined a Love Gratitude Challenge as a way to love on my hubby. So today I am thankful for his flexibility! Last night we both worked until 5pm, we still had to take the girls to great grandparents houses, have dinner and then trick or treat. So he willingly made dinner while I visited the great grandparents so that we would be on time. LOVE HIM!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and if you need a little blogging inspiration please join me in this Thankful November!

LML Monday - Costumes, Parties and Sleepovers!

Oh yes I am joining up with Melissa from The Bright Side and her blog hopping Love My Life! I love this blog hop definately one of my favorites no complaining, whining, moaning or groaning, just love! So here goes nothing what I loved about last week!

Homemade Halloween Costumes, Friend Birthday Parties and Sleepovers!

Homemade Costumes, I have been making Halloween costumes since my girls were born total I have bought 3 costumes total. This year the girls wanted to be Marines one in Dress Blues and one in Cami's. To say I don't sew a lot is an understatement so I went online and ordered their costumes 3 weeks ago. End of last week I got an email stating one of the costumes had shipped and the other was out of stock and they had refunded my credit card. Are you kidding me!!! Ok so I definatley had a small meltdown where I may have cursed and thrown a tantrum. When it was over it was time for mama to step up and figure out how one little girl was going to be a Marine in dress blues. Well this weekend I did just that and if I do say so myself I think it turned out pretty fantastic. And we got Marine approval from our cousin, Thanks Ashton!

Friend Birthday Parties, I went insane! Hubby was out of town hunting and I decided I could handle 11 ten year olds by myself at the bowling alley oh yikes! No really they weren't the bad it was just a little hectic at the end when we really didn't have time for another game of bowling but there wasn't much to do either. No worries though we made it through and I think they all had a good time. I did forget some dinner though but I fed them cake, ice cream and candy! Oh yes and then sent all but two of them home.

Sleepovers, are so much fun even though I am the parent now. It is fun to watch my girls interact with their friends and see what kind of friends they have. These two little girls are fabulous because although I don't believe they are friends with each other at school they are friends with both of my girls they all four get along so well it is great. And this will be a memory for their senior yearbook for sure!

Definately love my life and all the memories I am making!!

October 28th - Looking Back

Looking back at our first Christmas as a family of four I can't believe that this year will be our tenth Christmas. Shane and I look so young and our girls were so little. Sad how fast time flies by but amazing how many memories we have made in these last ten years looking forward to the next ten years of memories.

October 27th - Morning

This has been my morning. I ordered Lauryn's Halloween costume 2 weeks ago and I received an email on Wednesday stating it was out of stock. A Marine Dress Blues costume is not easy to come by I even had my cousin who is a Marine search on base in North Carolina with no luck. So I am making it and trying to not disrespect the uniform or the Marines hopefully I pass inspection!

LML Monday! Hunting Season

I have missed out on this blog hop the last couple of weeks I have been busy being well who knows really. I am a bit stressed right now it is normal the girls' birthday comes and then the holiday rush and I get a little stressed out about money and this and that. It will all work out I just stress.
So as I was getting ready this morning I decided that one thing I was going to for sure do was post for LML. The reason is I really do Love My Life.

So Saturday was the beginning of hunting season here in Montana and yes we hunt. I however am an amateur hunter meaning I mainly go because that whole term "Hunting Widow" gives me a the creeps. So I started hunting two years ago as a way to spend more time with my hubby, and it is fun to get out and hike around and enjoy nature. But the first two weekends of hunting season I am usually at home with the girls hanging out and this weekend was no exception, commencing spare bedroom cleanup. Oh yes the spare bedroom the one that is supposed to be our oldest daughters but the garage/office is not complete so I cannot move her into her own room yet. I know it will happen sooner or later so I am not worried but in the meantime I wanted to declutter the mess of a room. You can look here and see the picture of what I was walking into YIKES. It looks much better now and two bags of paper were shredded which was amazing. I can't wait until we can clean, paint and have two girls in their own rooms. It will be a lot less stressful in our house when that happens.

But until then I will enjoy a few quiet weekends with no hubby spending time with my girls. :)  Thank you to hunting season , oh and the delicious meat is never a bad thing either, have you people seen the cost of meat at the supermarket double yikes!!!

October 20th - 4 o'clock

This is the excitement at 4 o'clock. I am cleaning decluttering getting the beginning stages of organizing started so that one girl can have her own room. It is a little more than I thought and I am pretty sure I hate it. YUCK!
Oh well the end result will be worth it and when we go to move stuff to the garage it will not be chaos.
